Finding Meaning in Our Ecological Reality
Finding Meaning in Our Ecological Reality
Pope Francis in Laudato Si: “The entire material universe speaks of God’s love and boundless affection for us. Soil, water, mountains: everything is, as it were, a caress of God” (LS # 84)
In the face of the ecological challenges we’re experiencing, how can we cultivate hope, purpose, and meaning? This retreat day will invite participants to share their feelings about our current reality while exploring the seeds of hope, wisdom, and insight within themselves. Through a day of connection, reflection, and contemplation, we will embrace the potential for renewal. It will be a day of sharing experiences, reflecting and naming our reality and contemplating the new. Within the process of the day we will be drawing on wisdom and practices from Pope Francis, Joanna Macey, Ilia Delio and Brian Swimme.
